If you go on National Route 139 from Higashi-Katsura Station for a while, it will cross the Fuji Kyuko Line and the line will run on the right side.  Tokaichiba Station =Altitude 520 meters= (photo) is located on the national road and up the road.  The station building is simple with a Brehab structure, but there is a field in front of the platform and it has a quiet atmosphere.  The train passing through the station makes the sound of the rail sound at a good tempo.
東桂駅からしばらく国道139号を進むと富士急行線がアンダーパスし、線路が進行方向右側に換わる。十日市場駅＝標高520㍍（写真）は国道から生活道路を少々上った位置にある。駅舎はブレハブの味気ないものだがホームの雰囲気は畑に面し、静かで悪くない。ちょうど通過の車両がレールの音をテンポよく刻んで行く。

"Tahara Waterfall" is located downstream of the Katsura River, which flows in parallel with Tokaichiba Station.  It used to be a bigger waterfall.  I have been waiting for a while to take pictures of this waterfall and fujikyu train, and there is a stone monument nearby.  The stone monument states that Basho Matsuo stayed in Tanimura near here where his disciples lived due to the "Fires in Edo" in 1682.  A "haiku party" is also held, and there seems to be a haiku for this waterfall.

十日市場駅と並行して流れる桂川の下流に田原の滝がある。以前はもっと大きな滝だったようだ。滝越しに富士急の車両が入ればいい画になると思いしばらく待つと、近くにある碑が気になる。そこには、松尾芭蕉が天和２年（1682）の暮れにおきた江戸の大火により、弟子を頼ってこの近くの谷村に滞在したとある。句会も開き、この滝のことも詠われているという。

As the name suggests, Tsuru Bunka University mae Station =Altitude 503 meters=is near Tsuru University.  I recognized it as a public university attended by students who wished to be teachers.  Just a year ago, the news that journalist Mika Yamamoto died after being shot in Syria was shocking.  When I knew that Yamamoto's alma mater was from this university, I thought it was surprising.

When you come near Yamura Station, you can hear the sound of railroad crossings.  The main hall of Temple is just visible in front of me, so I thought about taking a picture.  However, when the train came, I noticed that the main hall was completely hidden.

Yamura Village, where Yamuramachi Station =Altitude 484 meters=is located, once prospered as a castle town of Katsuyama Castle, and now has Tsuru City Hall.  However, local people are likely to shop at the new store in front of Tsuru Bunka University mae Station.  The station building is a wooden building with a retro atmosphere.
谷村町駅＝標高484㍍のある谷村はかつて勝山城の城下町として栄え、その流れを組んでか都留市役所がある。しかし買い物は先ほどの都留文科大学前駅前の方に新しい店が出来て、おそらくそちらで買い求める住民の方が増えているに違いない。駅舎は木造建築でレトロ感があふれる。

The waiting room is painted colorful, but it is made of wood and has a gentle atmosphere.  The back of the photo is the door of the cafeteria, and I was planning to eat here, but the business hours have just ended.  I was expecting lunch at the old station building, but I'm unlucky.

待合室もカラフルなペンキが塗られているとはいえ木の温もりが優しい。写真奥に写るドアは、付設した食堂で、実はここで食事をするつもりだったが、ちょうど昼の営業時間が終了したところ。古い駅舎で食べるお昼を密かに楽しみにしてきたが、まあ仕方がない。

When Tsurushi Station =Altitude 467 meters= opened, it was named  Yamura Yokomachi Station, but in 1965 it was changed to the current station name.  Maybe the station building was renovated at that time.

都留市駅＝標高467㍍。昭和４年（1929）の開業時は谷村横町駅という駅名だったが、昭和40年（1965）現在の駅名に変更となった。もしかすると駅舎はそれを記念して今の駅舎に改築されたのかもしれない。
