Pottering report of a bicycle in HAKUBA. Vol.2

In "Snow Harp", a cross country competition was held at the Nagano Olympic Games in 1998.  Today, MTB 24 hour endurance race is taking place on this 5 kilometers course.  In the summer, it is used as a bicycle course in this way.

I ride my bicycle and I advance from the National Route to the former Chikuni-kaido highway.  I take picture "Kayabuki roof" to a photograph with "Dosojin=the travelers' guardian deity" who remain a lot in Azumino together. "Kayabuki roof" is also decreasing in Japan.

Since I came to Hakuba Village Echoland, I had lunch at a fashionable restaurant attached to the pension.  I order fry of chicken with tomato sauce with basil.
せっかく若者のまち白馬・エコーランドに来たので、ペンションに併設されたお洒落なレストランで昼食をとる。骨付きチキンのフライにバジル入りのトマトソースをかけたオリジナル料理を注文する。

Many tourists including a mountain climbing visitor and the ski and Snowboarding visitor use Hakuba Station = 697 meters above sea level.  Most of mountain climbing visitors are middle elderly people.  I carry a bicycle on the train = It is called “Rinkou” in Japan. and return from Hakuba Station.

白馬駅＝標高697㍍は登山やスキー客など多くの観光客が利用する。登山客の多くは中高齢者だ。白馬駅から輪行し、帰路に着く。
