Pottering report of a bicycle in TAKATO. Vol.2
About 1500 Sakura trees are planted at The Takato Castle ruins park. Mt. Yoshino in Nara, Hirosaki Castle ruins park in Aomori, it is said to be Three famous places of Sakura in Japan. In the middle of April, when the Sakura are in the best season, a lot of tourists come by car, and the surrounding roads get congested. Takato Kohigan Sakura has small flowers but strong red color. When it is in full bloom, only this little mountain is colored cherry.
The park which finished the season is quiet as expected. Of course, there are no visitors to "Ohanami" banquet. Perhaps the Sakura have been quietly relieved after a noisy days that they didn't want. Probably, Sakura did not want , but the noisy days passed and they are relieved. Such a feeling of relief is transmitted.
In the park, there are people who clean the scattered petals. In the park, I can hear the sound of sweeping a bamboo broom regularly.
It was telling the fact that there was a gorgeous day at the feet. A single flower of a cherry tree seem to be complaining that wants you to live through now to the utmost. I feel that way.
There is a monument of a person who went out to the Russo-Japanese War from this district and was killed. The late blooming cherry blossoms are blooming beside them. "See you again under the Sakura trees at the Yasukuni Shrine." They said so,I think of the dead Kamikaze squadron members.
The school of Takato domain, "Shintokukan" opened in 1860. These schools, who represented Shinshu=Nagano, who taught Sinology, Dutch and art, people called it "Matsushiro of the north", "Takato of the south". After that, Shuji Izawa became the principal of the Tokyo Music School (now Tokyo University of the Arts), and has produced a lot of talented people including the teacher who played the modern education of Shinshu. However, the closed was only 12 years until the end of 1872.
I will head home from Takato Castle ruins park. Again, ride a bike down the Mibugawa River cycling road. This time I will run on the left bank. Run for a while from the Mibugawa River bridge along the mountain path. The forest where the yellow Kerria japonica="yamaboki" is in bloom is quiet, the air is cool and shows a different landscape from the right bank.
