From JR Nagano Station, walk through the ticket gate of the station building and head for the Nagano Electric Railway Nagano Station on the subway. The B Limited express train bound for Susaka Station was 2000 system of Maroon colors restored at the time of debut. The stations where this Limited express train stops are "Shiyakusyo (City Hall) -mae" "Gondo" "Hongo" "Shinano Yoshida". The express charge is cheap at 100 yen.
I change to 1000 system which is used as A limited express train at Suzaka Station "Yukemuri". It used to be a romance car for Odakyu Electric Railway before, however in 2006 it debuted again at Nagano Electric Railway (photo above). The top vehicle has become the view seat, you can see the direction of progress. The carpet is spread and it looks like a special train (photo bottom). The conductor sells original goods such as key holders to tourists. It seems that Nagano Electric Railway is working hard to make a management effort.
I arrived at Yudanaka Station = altitude 600 meters =. It is 33.2 kilometers from Nagano Station. The current station building is built in 1955, and is used for a long time, I feel the building to be high in formality. On the high ceiling there is an advertisement signboard of the design made in the Showa period. A veteran station employee cuts the ticket at the ticket gate, and it is a spectacle that old times recalled.
Yudanaka Station is heading for Okushiga Kogen and Shirane volcano, and it is also a bus departure and arrival station. The guest who descended from the train is put, and the bus leaves one after another. In the afternoon, in front of the station, a car of the Hot Spring Inn came to pick me up, and it seems that there is a sight that will greet guests by spreading the flag of the Inn. It is a scenery that feels a journey unique to spa stations.
Yudanaka Station opened in 1927 and had a mountain hut style station building for 28 years. Currently, the building is left behind the No. 1 line platform side, however it is a facility in Yamanouchi Town where there is an exhibition room called "Kaede no kan" and a rest room (photo above). Next to it is a day spa "Kaede no yu", and there is also a free footbath in the Plaza (photo bottom).
Go from the Yudanaka Station to the hot spring town by going through the Kaede Street. There are nine public baths in Yudanaka Onsen, which can be used by locals and guests. Because it is a "Day of the Bath" today, a general guest can bathe, and it pass here because it still rides the bicycle. (Photo is Nishikino-yu)
