Pottering of a bicycle in Okayama. Vol.３

I bring my bicycle into the hotel room.  I'm glad to bring a small bicycle into my room like this.  You can park at the hotel's bicycle storage, however I'm worried about theft.

I am looking at Tsuyama Castle ruins from Yoshii River.  In the reproduction map at the tourist information center, a splendid castle similar to Himeji Castle was drawn.  There is no "Moshimo = what if" in history, houever if that castle remained, this town would have changed a lot.

吉井川から津山城址を眺めてみる。観光案内所にあった再現図には、姫路城とみまちがえるほどの立派な城だった。歴史に「もし」はご法度といえ、あの城が残っていたら、このまちの今は大きく変わっていたことだろう。

The former Tsuyama fan-shaped locomotive shed was built in 1936.  There are many windows when viewed from behind. The windows are open under the windows to avoid rainwater.  It is a device to let the smoke of the locomotive escape to the outside (photo).  The shed has become a modern Heritage of Industrial Modernization and The 'JSCE Civil Engineering Heritage'. 
旧津山扇形機関車庫は昭和11年（1936）に竣工。裏側から観察すると窓が多数あり、下部が開く窓ガラスが水勾配を形成している。煙をできるだけ外に逃がす工夫とみられる（写真）。車庫は近代化産業遺産や登録鉄道文化財に登録されている。

Nine nostalgic vehicles are stored in this locomotive shed.  The most popular is the diesel locomotive "DE50", which only exists here, but I came to see the "Kiha 52 system".  Like an old friend I haven't seen in a long time,  Previously, it was a vehicle that ran on the Oito Line.   I shake hands with the Vehicle.  I was relieved that the vehicle was not dismantled and was cherished by many people.
この機関車庫には懐かしい９車両が格納されている。一番の主役はこの車庫にしかないDE50形というディーゼル機関車のようだが、私にとっての主役はやはりキハ52。以前、大糸線で走っていた車両なのだ。久しぶりの旧友との再会するように連結器と握手をする。解体されることなく、余生を多くの人に見守られている様子に安心する。
