Pottering of a bicycle in Aomori. Vol.３

An old wooden building with a solitary on a rough rocks.  I came here because I was attracted to the photos published in the magazine.  This building is "Kofunato". It is a restaurant. Not an inn.  It is said that his husband, who was a fisherman from Ise who was fascinated by this place, opened the business.  It is built majestically on a rock, but it is said that the tsunami flowed into the first floor during the Great East Japan Earthquake.
荒々しい岩の上に一軒だけ佇む古い木造建築。思えば雑誌に載った写真に惹かれてここまでやってきたのだ。この建物は「小舟渡」。料理処である。宿ではない。この地に魅せられた伊勢出身の漁師だったご主人が開業したという。岩の上に凛と建っているが、東日本大震災の際は津波が１階まで押し寄せたという。

再び自転車で海岸沿いを行く。先ほど秘密の花園の上から見えた鮫角灯台が近づいてくる。鮫角灯台は八戸港へ入る舟の目印になっている。どれだけこの灯に勇気づけられた漁師たちがいることだろう。そんな人の思いをよそに灯台は今日もまた孤高に立ち続ける。

It is downhill at the Ashigezaki Observatory, and the sea spreads out across the road.  I am very attracted to these scenery.  The sign board labeled "Aomori Prefecture" reminds me that I am in the north of Honshu. I take this scenery home as a souvenir.

葦毛崎展望台の入口で勾配が下りへと変わり、道の向こうには海が広がっている。こうした景色には弱い。「青森県」と表示された反射標識に改めて本州の北の地にいることを実感しながら、この風景を持ち帰る。

If you ride your bicycle further, you will see a wonderful view again.  The private beach-like coast on the left side of the photo is Osuga Beach.  The road is along the coast and is probably a popular driving course.  I ride a bicycle on such a road.
さらに行くと今度も絶景が広がる。写真左のプライベートビーチのような海岸は大須賀海岸。道がその脇を走り、おそらく人気のあるドライブコースに違いない。そんな道を自転車で行く。

I look at Osuga Beach from the front.  The waves are unexpectedly high and I wait for the white waves to spread before I take a picture.  The sea is connected.  Seeing the coastline so beautiful, I think so.

大須賀海岸を正面から見据える。意外に波が高く、白波が広がるのを待ってシャッターを押す。海はつながっている。あまりにも綺麗な海岸線にそんな大きな発想が浮かぶ。
