There are 21 places of cities that a tram runs in Japan.  In 1895, the first tram that ran in Japan is Kyoto,however Osaka, Hiroshima, Matsuyama, Nagasaki and many in western Japan.  There are three tram lines running in Toyama Prefecture.  It has just been introduced as a new urban type transport called Light Rail Transit (LRT).  The number of users is increasing as a result of the administration's actively calling for the use of citizens.   This time, We drove a bicycle along the Toyama Bay, connecting the two lines of the Light Rail Transit.  (Photo／ Manyo Line running in Takaoka City, new tram on low floor "Aitram" )

日本全国で路面電車が走る場所は21路線。明治28年（1895）日本最初に路面電車が走ったのは京都だが、大阪・広島・松山・長崎と西日本が多い。その中でも富山県は３路線もの路面電車が走る。それもライトレール（Light Rail Transit:LRT）と呼ばれる軽量軌道交通が新しい都市型の公共交通として導入されたばかりだ。行政が市民に積極的に利用を呼べかけた結果、利用者が増えている。今回は、そうしたライトレールの２つの路線を結ぶ富山湾に沿って自転車を走らせた。（写真／高岡市内を走る万葉線・低床式の新型路面電車「アイトラム」）

JR大糸線から北陸本線（現在は第三セクターに移管されている）に乗り換え昼過ぎに高岡駅に到着した。自転車を組み立て、雨晴（あまはらし）海岸に向かう。距離にして約15㎞、真夏の走行なので、観光地巡りをしながらゆっくりと進む。高岡市内山町筋は加賀藩二代目藩主前田利長が造ったとされる商人町で、繊維を中心とした問屋が並ぶ（写真）。

Takaoka Old castle park (photo) was developed as a castle site of Takaoka castle built by Toshinaga Maeda.  When I was running on the gravel road in the park, suddenly the front wheels were punctured.  I made a first aid with a replacement tube.

高岡古城公園（写真）は、前田利長が築いた高岡城の城跡として整備された。園内の砂利道を走っていると、突然前輪がパンク。替えのチューブで応急処置をして難なきを得る。

There is a head office of the Manyo line at Yoneyamaguchi station, and the driver seems to change at this station.  Advertising wrapping vehicle wrapped in colorful shades in the back line of the building is parked.  In August, temporary beer hole vehicles are operated and amuse many citizens.
米島口駅に万葉線の本社があり、この駅で運転士が交代する仕組みになっているようだ。社屋奥の引込み線にカラフルな色合いの広告ラッピング車両が停まっている。８月には臨時のビアホール車両の運行も予定され、多くの市民を誘う。

From the Jokoji Bridge over the Oyabegawa River, you see the Fushiki port.  You can see the bridge over the JR Himi line (photo).  Oyabegawa River flows out of Daimon Mountain (1572 meters) in the prefecture border with Ishikawa Prefecture, flows through Oyabe City, Takaoka City and flows to Toyama Bay.　It is 68 kilometers in length and is a representative river in Toyama Prefecture.

小矢部川に架かる城光寺橋から伏木港を望む。JR氷見線の橋梁が向こう側に見える（写真）。小矢部川は、石川県との県境にある大門山（1572m）に源を発し、小矢部市、高岡市を経て高岡市と射水市の境界線から富山湾に注ぐ、全長68㎞の富山県を代表する河川である。

If I had enough time, I intended to go to Himi Station, however I didn't plan to fix the punk.  Load our bicycles from the Amaharashi Station (photo) and return to Takaoka Station.  The JR Himi line is a short line of 16.5 kilometers long connecting Takaoka Station and Himi Station.  There are only 8 stations, however the scenic sunny coast often decorates the cover of a timetable.  Himi City is the birthplace of cartoonist Mr. Fujiko Fujio A manga artist, "Ninja Hattori-kun" wrapping vehicle is also running.
時間に余裕があれば、氷見駅まで行くつもりだったが、パンクの修理が計算外だった。雨晴駅（写真）から輪行で高岡駅に戻ることにする。JR氷見線は、高岡駅と氷見駅を結ぶ全長16.5㎞の短い路線。この間には８つの駅しかないが、風光明媚な雨晴海岸沿いと並行する景色は、しばし時刻表の表紙を飾る。氷見市は漫画家・藤子不二雄Ａ氏の出身地で、忍者ハットリくんのラッピング電車も走行している。

On the Amaharashi Coast, you can see the majestic Tateyama Mountain Range in the back of Toyama Bay.  The scenery where you can see the 3,000 meters class mountains on the sea is a rare landscape with only three places in the world.  This place name "Amaharashi" is derived from the fact that Yoshitsune Minamoto and Benkei were fleeing to Oshu, waiting for the rain to stop in 1187.
雨晴海岸は、富山湾の向こうに雄大な立山連峰を望むことができる。海の上に3,000㍍級の山々を望むの風景は、世界でも３ヶ所しかない珍しい景色とされる。「雨晴」という地名は、文治３年（1187）源義経と弁慶が、奥州へ落ち延びる途中､にわか雨の晴れるのを待ったことに由来するらしい。
