The park in the the road station "Alps Azumino Horigane no sato" has a quiet atmosphere.  Because there is a lawn area, it may be good to stretch your limbs and lie down.  There are people who draw a picture of a landscape with a traditional house on the background of Mt. Jhonen.
道の駅｢アルプス安曇野ほりがねの里｣の奥にある公園は、表の賑やかさに比べ静かな空間を保っている。緑の広場があるので、思い切り手足を伸ばし寝そべるのもいいかもしれない。公園から望める常念岳を背景に民家がある安曇野らしい風景を描く人もいる。

The product center of the road station is a shop where farmers have harvested with no chemical fertilizer or pesticide cultivation, and many local people visit as well as tourists.  It is crowded with many shoppers today.  You can order the recommended rice ball set in the attached dining room.  From six kinds of handmade rice balls, choose "A fruit and mushroom of the perilla" and "Leek miso".

Leave the road station and head north along the agricultural road.  Bicycles are recommended to follow the sidewalk because there is a lot of traffic.  After crossing the "Horigane" intersection, you are guided to run on the right side of Agricultural road for a while.
道の駅を発ち、農道沿いに北へ向かう。車の通行量が多いため、歩道を走行するよう勧めている。すぐに「堀金」の交差点にぶつかるが、ここを渡り、しばらく農道の右側を走行するように指示する案内板がある。

When the agricultural road is advanced about 500 meters, "Jika-segi weir" is seen.  I will go from here to the Azumino Yamabiko cycling road again and run on the right bank of the "Jika-segi weir".
農道を500㍍ほど進むと、拾ヶ堰が現れる。この場所から再び自転車専用道となり堰の右岸を行く。

After a while, there is Shimohori Suwa shrine on the left.  There is nothing noticeable about it, but it is an important shrine for people living here.  On the other side is the front approach of cherry blossom trees, and after the cherry blossom season, the young leaves are dazzling.  It is a beautiful scenery that you can feel relieved.
しばらく進むと左手に下堀諏訪神社がある。とりたてて変哲のないが、この地に住む人にとっては大切な鎮守様だ。反対側は桜並木の参道になっていて、桜の花の季節を終えたばかりの若葉が眩しい。安定感のあるホッとする風景だ。

I run by the bicycle while crossing to the left to the right along "Jika-segi weir".  There is a wooden carved signboard on the wooden bridge (photo above).  When I run by bicycle while watching Hiyoshi shrine, there are some houses with Kura.  When I try to take a picture of the scenery that seems to be Azumino, a cyclist on a road type bicycle a polite greeting me (photo bottom).
自転車道は拾ヶ堰沿いを右に左に交差しながら走る。木道の橋の中央には木彫の案内板が据えてある（写真上）。旧穂高町に入り、日吉神社を右手に見ながら進むと、蔵を備えた民家が点在する。安曇野らしい風景だとカメラを構えると、ロードタイプの自転車に乗ったサイクリストが挨拶してくれる（写真下）。
