  In the back of the Hotaka driver’s school, the water flowing through "Jika-segi weir" is discharged to the Karasu River (photo bottom).  The Azumino Yamabiko cycling road goes northeast from the right bank of the Karasugawa River.
穂高自動車教習所社屋の風見鶏越しに、安曇富士とも呼ばれる北の安曇平を象徴する有明山（標高＝2268㍍）が見える（写真上）。穂高自動車教習所の裏で、拾ヶ堰を流れてきた水は烏川に放流されその役目を終える（写真下）。自転車道は、その烏川右岸を北東に向かう。

The starting point and ending point of the Azumino Yamabiko cycling road is at the intersection of JR Oito Line and the bottom of National Route 147.  Although there is a guide board, the cycling road is suddenly interrupted.  I am thinking about what to do after this while watching the Wasabi garden, just a train going through.

A song written by the lyricist late Kazumasa Yoshimaru while walking around the area, with the thought of waiting for the late Azumino spring, is the "Sousyunfu".  At this place, where there is a monument, the "Sousyunfu Festival" took place just today in the morning.  There is a Wasabi garden behind the monument, so please park your bicycle and take a look.

In this season, just Wasabi flowers are blooming.  The white and cute flowers look like soft cotton (photo above).  The Todoroki district is a place where small rivers gather, and it looks like a small Riverside District.  The aquatic plants at the bottom of the river are swayed in clear water, reflecting sunlight (photo bottom).

この時期ちょうどわさびの花が咲いている。白くて可憐なその様子は柔らかな綿のようにも見える（写真上）。等々力地区は小さな川が集まり、さながら小さな水郷のまちのようだ。川底には水草が透明の水に揺らめき、太陽の光を反射させている（写真下）。
